You will not be able to watch the Summer Olympics on SVT

Sweden in Summer OlympicsYou probably know this already, but unfortunately will not broadcast the Summer Olympics in Sweden. Many consider SVT to be the best broadcaster in Sweden for such events, but this year Viasat will broadcast the Summer Olympics instead.

If you want to watch the event on Swedish TV online then you can read more about how it is done at www.svensktvutomlands.com. The page is in Swedish, but it will easily describe to you how you can watch Viasat and other Swedish TV channels online from abroad. If you would rather watch the Summer Olympics in English then the following article at ipaddressguide.org will give you all the information you need.

Sweden in the Summer Olympics

Sweden is not one of the giants when it comes to Summer Olympics, but when it comes to Winter Olympics they are far better. During the Beijing Olympics in 2008 Sweden did not get one single gold medal, but they got four silver medals and one bronze medal.

In London the Swedish troop got one gold medal, four silver medals and three bronze medals. If they keep that progress up in the Rio Olympics we can expect at least two gold medals and quite a lot of silver and bronze medals. That would be cool, wouldn’t it?

The Summer Olympics will start on August 5th and last until August 21st. But, there will be action taking place in Rio already on August 3rd where there will be played several football matches and more action taking place.
